A long period of snowfall with total amounts of 40 to 60 cm is expected. What: Periods of significantly reduced visibilities due to heavy snow and blowing snow. When: Tonight through Friday. Where: - Coquihalla Highway - Hope to Merritt. Additional information: A frontal system passing through the province will bring a prolonged snowfall event in combination with strong southwesterly winds creating periods of significantly reduced visibilities to the Coquihalla Highway. Snowfall will intensify tonight and continue through Friday before finally tapering off Friday evening. Snowfall totals are expected to range from 40 to 60 cm. ### Travel will likely be challenging.
