A multi-day episode of very cold wind chills is expected. What: Cold wind chill values of -45 or lower. When: Tonight to Thursday morning for Haines Road and to Friday morning for the Klondike Highway. Where: South Klondike Highway and Haines Road. Additional information: An Arctic ridge of high pressure over the central territory is bringing cold temperatures and moderate winds. The combination of the two will generate cold wind chill values of -45 or lower. Temperatures rise slowly on Thursday over the Haines Road and on Friday over the South Klondike Highway. ### Extreme cold puts everyone at risk. Watch for cold related symptoms: shortness of breath, chest pain, muscle pain and weakness, numbness and colour change in fingers and toes.
