This self-guided walking tour game starts by Henrik Ibsen's grave at Vår Frelsers Gravlund cemetery in Oslo. Once you are there, open the app and start the Headless Horseman walking tour game. You have come to this cemetery to meet two people you've gotten to know through an online ghost hunter forum. They have invited you to join an investigation of the 200-year-old disappearance of teacher Ichabod Crane. But, as you stand waiting, only one of your new friends show up at your meeting spot...
You and your companion head over to the house where Ichabod once lived, to see if you can find clues to his disappearance, and maybe find your friend. This street is one of the few preserved residential areas in Oslo with wooden houses from the early 1800’s. Writer Henrik Wergeland lived at Damstredet 1 in the late 1830’s.
You follow a lead from Ichabod's journal and visit the Blå market area by the Akerselva river. While at Blå, you examine some of Ichabod's belongings.
You go to the quaint shopping street Markveien to meet a witness who had a scary encounter with the Headless Horseman. You ask her some questions to find out more about how the ghost of the Horseman haunts Oslo.
You follow the witness' directions and make a stop at the building where she heard the Headless Horseman. You help you friend set up ghost hunt equipment to try and record some strange noises...
Your friend is still missing, but you are desperately trying to find her. A cryptic message she sent to your friend leads to a restaurant building in a park. You go there to search for something she might have left behind.
You reach Old Aker church - the oldest building in Oslo, with a stunning view of the city. This seems to be the last location where Ichabod was seen, and traces from your friend lead you here as well. Maybe you can find something here that will help you clear up both disappearances?
You reach the final location and make a stop at the top of the idyllic Telthusbakken street. There seem to be just one thing left for you to do...
