THE TEMPLE OF APOLLO. One of the few remaining Archaic Greek Temples remaining it dominates the central market area and was originally built around the 7th century BC & dedicated to the God of Light and Music.
THE LECHAION ROAD. Connecting the center of the City with its Ancient Port Lechaion, and paved for processions and for horse & carts to move goods from all corners of the Ancient world, standing on this wide avenue its easy to imagine the bustling life of the city.
THE PEIRENE FOUNTAIN. The ancient Greek spring said to be formed when the winged Pegasus struck the ground, or by the tears Peirene and her metamorphosis into the flowing spring. Still flowing after centuries, it was a life source for the city and would have been decorated with vibrant frescoes.
THE AGORA and BEMA. Bustling heart of the city full of shops, market stalls, temples & the famous "Bema" from where Roman proconsul would address the citizens and where the Apostle Paul preached to the Corinthians in 52 AD.
