    Today’s adventure starts with Shanghai Museum (closed on every Monday). Your guide and driver will meet you at hotle lobby around 8:30 (we will advise the pickup time ahead of the departure). The museum houses millions of collections and especially features bronze wares, porcelain works, paintings and calligraphy works. The guide will show you around to trace Chinese history.

    Yu Garden (Yuyuan)

    Next, come to Yuyuan Garden, which is a representative of classical Chinese gardens with elegant pavilions, old bridges, artistic rockeries, small ponds, etc. It was originally built by Pan Yunduan in 1559 during the Ming Dynasty for his parents to enjoy their old age in peace. The garden has gone through a lot in the over 400 years’ history. It was once deserted at the death of Pan Yunduan, restored by new owners, badly damaged during the Opium War, and reopened in 1961 after a lot of repairs. Nearby is the lively Yuyuan Market including the famous City God Temple (Cheng Huang Miao), wonder around here you can get everything from traditional Chinese crafts like chopsticks, fans, and pottery to local delicacies such as steamed buns, crab shell cake, and pork chop with rice cakes. Don’t forget to haggle for a better price.

    Nanjing Lu (Nanjing Road)

    Then you will take a walk in the Nanjing Road which is the earliest and the best known shopping street in Shanghai.ew of Shanghai’s dramatic city landscape.

    Jade Buddha Temple

    After lunch(at your own expense), you will continue to visit the hundreds-year-old Jade Buddha Temple. The temple was built to keep two jade Buddha statues which had been brought from Burma by a monk named Huigen.

    The following stop will be Xintiandi, a great place for leisure and amusement where you will meet rows of shops and bars transformed from Shikumen houses.

    Former French Concession

    After that you will pay a visit to Shanghai French Concession. This area records some special history of the city in the 1850-1920s. And you will see many buildings in western style. The tour concludes with a visit to the silk market to learn about the rich history of Chinese silk culture and see some nice silk products crafted at the market. Again, there is an option to exclude this part of the tour by choosing the (No-shopping) option when booking.
