Wiñaywayna is located on the Inca Trail route, 3.3 km in a straight line (straight line) south-southeast of Machu Picchu, between Puyupatamarca and Intipunku (the 'Gate of the Sun', entrance to Machu Picchu).

Early in the morning, we will enjoy breakfast at the hotel and then take the bus to Machu Picchu Archaeological Sanctuary, a short 25 minute ride. We will begin the fascinating guided visit to one of the 7 Wonders of the Modern World, then ascend Huayna Picchu and finally return to the town of Aguas Calientes to board the train, bus and return to Cusco.
The Huayna Picchu Mountain is located north of the Machu Picchu Mountain, at an altitude of 2693 meters above sea level. It is part of the orographic formation known as the Vilcabamba Batholith, which is an extension of the Central Mountain Range of the Andes. Huayna Picchu, in Quechua means Young Mountain and is part of the three sacred mountains in Machu Picchu, that is; The Machu Picchu Mountain or Old Mountain, the Huayna Picchu Mountain or Young Mountain and the Putucusi Mountain or Happy Mountain. From the top of this mountain you have a spectacular view of the Inca City of Machu Picchu, roads, bridges, the Sacred Gate of Inti Punku, where you enter the Inca Trail. For all these reasons, Huayna Picchu is attributed a control and surveillance function.
