What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Guests will walk 10 minutes on a flat, paved path to the Port Chalmers Yacht Club ferry departure point. The ferry departs at 9:30am, providing a scenic crossing of Otago Harbour, followed by onward travel by bus on the opposite side of the harbour on the Otago Peninsula to reach Larnach Castle. Your journey afterwards will take you into Dunedin City where the driver will point out the special sights before dropping you off in Dunedin for shopping or exploring.

A guided tour through the castle will give you an insight into the rich history of the family that once lived here and of the local area. The views from the castle, over the harbour are breathtaking.

Dunedin (Pass by)
You’ll travel through Dunedin by bus either at the beginning or end of your tour, passing the iconic Dunedin Railway Station and the city’s vibrant shopping precinct. As we continue through suburban streets, you’ll get a glimpse of everyday local life before we emerge onto the stunning Otago Peninsula. The views become increasingly breathtaking as we follow the scenic coastline toward the charming village of Portobello, then ascend the beautiful winding roads that lead to the magnificent Larnach Castle.

An option and complementary stop at Glenfalloch Gardens where you can either wander around to admire the views and scenery, or you can do that from inside the cafe over hot drink (food and drinks at own cost)

- There is some element of walking and stairs in and around the castle and to get on the boat.
- There is a 10 minute walk on a paved and flat pathway at either the start or the end of your tour. Between cruise terminal building and the ferry departure point. Unless you choose the bus option and to be dropped of in Dunedin at the conclusion of your tour.
