    Aswan High Dam

    Arrive at Aswan to start your remarkable day by visiting the High Dam; an epic engineering accomplishment achieved between 1960 and 1970 to protect Egypt from the flood and generate electric. It was largely financed and supervised by the Soviet Union

    Then, to Aswan's granite quarries to see the Unfinished Obelisk, about 40 meters in length and 1000 tons, which is considered to be the longest and the heaviest obelisk ever cut in Egypt, most probably belongs to the famous queen Hatshepsut.
