Join us on this full day trip to discover the legends behind an amazing salt mine! Once the town where many indigenous people lived, now Nemocón keeps the story of a hidden treasure that is connected with the prophecy of the arrival of the Spaniards.
As part of the experience, you will see a small museum full of interesting information about the creation of the salt mine and the importance of the land we will visit. Then, the walk inside the mine will be about an hour, where you will see the world’s largest salt heart, the freshest water mirrors, as well as the set of the movie “The 33,” reminding us how risky the mining work is.
A day before the experience, around 9:00 p.m., we will send you the exact pickup time from your hotel.
You'll find out 1. What is the relationship between indigenous trade and the Legend of El Dorado? 2. The pre-Columbian history of the area where the mine is located and its importance. 3. The great legends of the miners who changed the history of the country. 4. Why the small pools of salt water inside the mine give us the impression of seeing mirrors on the ground. 5. The dream of the Zipa that became prophecy, and the tree where everything happened. 6. And much more!
