    Early in the morning, you have two ways to visit the Temples of Abu Simbel, about 250 KM south of Aswan the first way is by flight (40 minutes), and the second is by bus (3 hours driving). You`ll visit the two Temples of king Ramses II,19th (1290-1223 BC) the Great Temple was dedicated to the god Amon-Re and to memorize the victories of the King and the Small Temple was dedicated to goddess Hathor and to his wife queen Nefertari. The two Temples were cut completely in the rock and were saved in 1960-1970, after the building of the High Dam, by our former president Nasser, thanks to the international help of UNESCO.
