What to expect

Become the lead investigator in a self-guided murder mystery game that turns Norwich into your own crime scene. Your case: Bella, a famous travel blogger, was found dead during a ghost tour, and her killer is still somewhere, walking free. As the new detective, you will start at St Giles on the Hill, where the app hands you the case file and your first lead. The trail will take you through Norwich's medieval city center, past local landmarks like the Norwich Guildhall, Strangers' Hall, the Museum of Norwich at the Bridewell and Norwich Castle. At each stop you will investigate your surroundings (inscriptions, statues, plaques, facades, etc.) to solve a puzzle that will reveal a piece of evidence. Every solved puzzle unlocks the instructions for the next chapter, plus some fun historical facts about the locations you're visiting.

You can play alone or bring your whole group. The game can be played all day, any day: just book a ticket and play whenever you want. It ends in the same place where it starts and will take you about 90-120 minutes (including optional coffee breaks whenever you like). The total walking distance is about 1.5 miles (2.5 km).
