Take an exciting eight-day tour to the highlights of Jordan’s acclaimed attractions starting and ending as a round-trip in Amman. With the local guide visit the Dead Sea, hike in Dana Nature Reserve and be amazed by the beauty of the red rose city Petra. Spend two nights in a camp in the fantastic Wadi Rum desert. With your Bedouin guide explore by jeep and on hikes the spectacular scenery with its mountains, sands and colours. The trip will end with a leisure stay at a hotel with private beach in Aqaba at the Red Sea before we return to Jordan’s capital.

    Amman Hotel – Dead Sea Beach – Dana Hike 2 hours – Petra Hotel

    Dead Sea Region

    Drive one hour to the shores of the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth. The salty water of the lake lets you float, not swim. The mud on the shores is supposed to have healing properties for the skin. After some leisure time at the beach we proceed 2 hours southwards to the village of Dana.

    Dana Nature Reserve

    Dana Village, located 1,100 meters above sea level, is the starting point for hiking in the reserve with the same name. Dana Nature Reserve is Jordan's largest reserve with a diverse flora and fauna, consisting of mountains and wadis. With a local Bedouin guide you walk 2.5 to 3 hours to uncover part of the beautiful scenery, and will learn about the some of the plants growing here. Just a one hour‘s drive and we reach your hotel in Petra.

    Petra Visit – Petra Hotel

    Today visit the highlight of Jordan, the red rose city Petra! You are able to start as early as 06:00, but early birds, don’t forget to ask the hotel for a breakfast box the day before. Meet your local guide and pass the narrow canyon, the so called Siq, with its colourful sandstone. At the end you will be rewarded with a view of the most beautiful monument: the Treasury. Continue via the Street of Facades to the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh's Castle. After around 2 hours the guide says farewell to you at the restaurant area. You have free time to explore Petra on your own. The young at heart for instance have the chance to climb the 800 stairs to the 45 meters high Monastery El Deir. Return to the main gate.

    Petra Hotel - Wadi Rum jeep ride – Wadi Rum Camp

    Wadi Rum Protected Area

    Morning time we drive 1.5 hours to Wadi Rum. Embark a 4x4 and with your Bedouin guide uncover more of the vast desert. The rugged landscape, the changing colours of sands and mountains, the serene atmosphere will make you understand why Wadi Rum is one of the most impressing desert landscapes in the world. The setting had been used for Hollywood movies. You see canyons, red sand dunes, Nabatean rock inscriptions, the natural rock bridges in Jebel Burdah and Um Fruth. You will have the opportunity to climb the latter if you wish so. Drive to the camp. Enjoy a delicious Bedouin dinner and overnight in a tent.

    Jabal Al Hash Hike – Jeep ride – Wadi Rum Camp

    Breakfast at camp. Then head 40 minutes through the Red Desert to a ridge called Jebel Al Hash. You are accompanied on an easy hike up the ridge to the top of the mountain. There you will discover magnificent views to the north and south. The guide will lead you then along the scenic ridge for 3 to 4 hours and brings you back down to the base of the mountain. Lunch break with Bedouin tea. We drive you close by the border with Saudi Arabia to the White Desert. See the Elephant rock and the nearby sand dunes. Next stop will be Qatar Spring, a natural spring where you will see the water coming directly from a rock. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

    Wadi Rum Camel Ride 2 hours – Aqaba Hotel

    An authentic and eco-friendly way to explore the unique and timeless area is by camel ride. The Arabian camels have only a single hump, and are since thousands of years the companions of Bedouins. The guide will give you an introduction of the riding technique, then you will be able to handle your camel by yourself.
