Join Canyon Ministries for an unforgettable guided hike into the Grand Canyon, descending more than 1,000 feet along the spectacular South Kaibab Trail. This iconic route brings you face-to-face with the canyon’s stunning rock layers, fossils, and sweeping vistas while exploring its features through a biblical Creation perspective.
Led by expert guides, this inner-canyon hiking tour travels 1.5 miles down to Cedar Ridge and back, totaling 3 miles round-trip. The historic ridgeline trail offers some of the most panoramic views in the Grand Canyon and is a favorite for its breathtaking scenery and unique vantage points.
Along the way, discover fascinating insights into Grand Canyon geology and history. Perfect for adventure seekers and faith-focused travelers alike. Minimum of two participants required.
Please bring 64 oz (two Nalgene-sized bottles) of water.
Additional rim tours, river trips, and backpacking adventures are also available.
Meet at the flag pole just outside the Grand Canyon Visitor Center inside the park. Please bring 2 liters of water (2 Nalgene-sized bottles), sunscreen, and comfortable hiking/tennis shoes. Bring a packed lunch with you for the trail.
Meet your guide in the park at tour start time at the Grand Canyon Visitor Center flag pole for orientation and a short shuttle ride to the trailhead.
Hike down the famous South Kaibab Trail with your guide as you stop along the way to learn about the various features of Grand Canyon geology while learning about biblical creation and evidence for the global Flood recorded in the book of Genesis.
Return with you guide back to the Grand Canyon Visitor Center for the conclusion of your tour.
