Text 1 The tour continues to the 9th Fort, one of the most emotionally powerful sites in Lithuania. This former fortress later became a prison and execution site during both Nazi and Soviet occupations. Today, its massive walls and memorial sculptures honour the victims who suffered here. Inside the museum, exhibitions reveal personal stories, historical documents, and artifacts that illuminate one of the darkest chapters in regional history.
