What to expect
The Arini Gorge, about 3 km long, is located near Spilia, 2 km from Arni. The morphology of the soil is such that Kombori Hill is almost adjacent to the opposite hill of Spilia and the two show to be tightly encased. From the construction of what nature has created, from the old days, probably during the geological period, a deep gorge almost unspoiled, reminding the visitor of the remarkable gorge of Samaria. Through this narrow ravine passes the waters of the river Anigros, which springs from Mount Minthi and flows into the Ionian Sea. From the great graves in the past and the abundant rushing waters of the river, Geranium Lake, of relative dimensions and depth, was formed at that point, in which the youth of the village had in the past baptized a bathing school because they were taking the first lessons and the first baptism of the swimmer.
