Follow trails along Lago Argentino, where ancient cave paintings whisper stories of the past, and enjoy a traditional lunch surrounded by stone and silence. As night falls over the steppe, travel 80 km from El Calafate to Los Glaciares National Park, tracing the southern edge of Lago Argentino through the quiet Andean foothills. After the moonlit silence of the night before, today you’ll see the glacier in all its daylight glory. Set out for a visit to the walkways of Perito Moreno Glacier, where multiple viewpoints reveal its immense walls of ice in constant motion and color. Watch as thunderous cracks announce the birth of new icebergs — a reminder of nature’s raw power. Later, embark on the Safari Náutico navigation, sailing across the glacial waters to the southern face of Perito Moreno. From the boat, feel the scale of this frozen giant as you drift near its towering blue cliffs — close enough to sense the chill rising from the ice. In the afternoon, transfer to El Calafate Airport for your onward flight, taking with you the memory of Patagonia’s wild beauty and a night under the moon that few will ever experience.
