    Seljalandsfoss

    This waterfall of the river Seljalandsá drops 60 meters over the cliffs of the former coastline. It is possible to walk behind the waterfall.

    Skogafoss

    Is one of the biggest waterfalls in the country with a width of 25 meters and a drop of 60 m. Due to the amount of spray the waterfall consistently produces, a single or double rainbow is normally visible on sunny days.

    Reynisfjara Beach

    Reynisfjara is a black pebble beach and features an amazing cliff of regular basalt columns resembling a a rocky step pyramid. Out in the sea are the spectaculary shaped basalt sea stacks Reynisdrangar.

    Vík i Myrdal Church

    A village - Its stretch of black basalt sand is one of the wettest places in Iceland. The cliffs west of the beach are home to many seabirds, most notably puffins.

    We head back through the farmlands and sand flats south of the Sólheimajökull glacier which is an outlet glacier from Mýrdalsjökull, the fourth largest glacier in Iceland.
