Our first stop will be in the peaceful town of Kaua, a small Maya community rich in ancestral tradition. Before entering the sacred grounds of Chichén Itzá, you’ll be welcomed by a local shaman who will perform a traditional limpia—a spiritual cleansing meant to clear negative energy and prepare your spirit for the journey ahead. Surrounded by incense and ancient chants, this ritual offers a moment of connection and renewal. After this meaningful experience, take time to explore a local handicraft market, where talented artisans display handmade crafts full of color, culture, and symbolism—a perfect way to connect with Maya creativity and heritage. To complete your visit to Kaua, enjoy a delicious regional buffet lunch featuring authentic Yucatecan dishes made with traditional ingredients.
