After breakfast, go for a boat trip to Lake Sapote to see different birds like parrots, jacanas, kingfishers, herons, panguanas, partridges, pigeons, cormorants, horned screamers, orneros and then move to the other end of the Moena lagoon to see sloths and monkeys, squirrels and dusky titi monkeys, etc. Your experience of the jungle comes to an end after lunch and you will cruise three hours back to Iquitos and be dropped off at your hotel or the airport. Please plan to fly out of Iquitos after 6pm.

Day 2: Activities in the Amazon Jungle (B/L/D)

    1 stop
  • 2

Enjoy breakfast and then crusie the Amazon River, where you will experience the most magical moment of your trip, which is to swim in the same river where the pink and gray dolphins live. You can see them, but don't expect to touch. On the way back to the lodge, you will see the biggest aquatic plant in the world, the famous Victoria Regia. It is also easy to see iguanas. Enjoy lunch at the lodge before going on a boat trip to the lakes Purura and Corrientes to catch different kinds of fish, including the famous piranha (being more difficult in March, April and May). After lunch, spot wild animals before going on a night walk in search of huge frogs, anaconda´s favorite food. In addition to seeing tarantulas, it is worth clarifying that despite their bad reputation, they are not dangerous to humans.
