This scenic drive takes approximately 4-5 hours, passing through bustling towns and expansive landscapes. After settling into your lodge or camp in Amboseli, enjoy an afternoon game drive, searching for elephants, giraffes, zebras, and various bird species with the awe-inspiring silhouette of Mount Kilimanjaro dominating the horizon.
Dedicate this entire day to exploring the wonders of Amboseli National Park. Start with an early morning game drive, as this is often the best time to spot predators on the prowl. Return to your lodge for a relaxing lunch before venturing out again in the afternoon. The unique landscape of Amboseli, with its swamps, dusty plains, and acacia woodlands, provides diverse habitats for a variety of wildlife. Keep an eye out for lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and a multitude of bird species. Enjoy a sundowner against the backdrop of Kilimanjaro before returning to your lodge for dinner.
After breakfast, bid farewell to Amboseli and embark on a scenic drive towards Lake Nakuru National Park. Take (approx. 6-7 hours), allowing you to witness the changing landscapes of Kenya. Upon arrival at Lake Nakuru, check into your lodge and enjoy a late afternoon game drive around the lake. Lake Nakuru is famous for its vast flocks of flamingos that paint the lake pink. You'll also have the chance to spot endangered rhinos (both black and white) Rothschild giraffes, lions, leopards, and numerous bird species.
Enjoy an early morning game drive in Lake Nakuru, soaking in the beauty of the lake and its diverse wildlife before departing for the highlight of your safari – the Masai Mara National Reserve. The journey to the Mara, a world-renowned destination for wildlife viewing, takes approximately 5-6 hours. After arriving and settling into your chosen lodge or camp, embark on an afternoon game drive. The vast plains of the Mara are teeming with wildlife, offering incredible opportunities to spot lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest (seasonal), and a variety of other animals.
Prepare for a full day of thrilling game viewing in the Masai Mara. You can opt for a morning and afternoon game drive with a break for lunch at the lodge, or choose a full-day exploration with a packed lunch. The Mara is famous for its high concentration of predators, so be on the lookout for lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas. During the Great Migration (roughly July to October), you can witness the spectacular sight of millions of wildebeest and zebras crossing the Mara River. Keep an eye out for the Big Five and enjoy the stunning landscapes of the African Savannah.
After an early breakfast, enjoy a final morning in the Masai Mara, capturing those last unforgettable moments with the wildlife and Masai mara. Then, experience a unique cultural encounter with a visit to a traditional Masai village. Learn about their customs, traditions, and way of life. After your visit, begin the drive back to Nairobi (approx. 5-6 hours with lunch enroute at Narok town), upon arrival in Nairobi you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) for your departure flight, carrying with you cherished memories of your Kenyan safari adventure.
