Tulamben is widely regarded as one of the best macro diving destinations in Indonesia and is a favorite location for underwater photographers from around the world.
Unlike reef dives that focus on large marine life, macro diving is all about discovering the ocean's hidden treasures. Many of the species found at Tulamben's macro sites are exceptionally well camouflaged and often overlooked by inexperienced divers. Our experienced local dive guides specialize in locating rare critters and helping photographers maximize their underwater photography opportunities.
The black volcanic sand environment creates excellent contrast for underwater photography, while calm conditions and shallow dive profiles allow divers to spend more time searching for unique marine life and capturing memorable images.
Groups are intentionally kept small, with a maximum of four certified divers per PADI Dive Guide, ensuring a relaxed, personalized, and photographer-friendly diving experience.

Meeting and pickup
Our driver will pick you up from your accommodation and will drive you to our Dive Center.

What to expect
Dive at locations such as Seraya Secret, Melasti, Batu Niti, Batu Belah, and Kuwanji, known for black volcanic sand, incredible biodiversity, and rare critter sightings.
Depending on conditions, divers may encounter frogfish, ghost pipefish, nudibranchs, harlequin shrimp, mimic octopus, blue-ring octopus, flamboyant cuttlefish, seahorses, dragonets, and many other fascinating macro subjects.
Hotel pickup from South Bali is provided between 6:30 AM and 7:15 AM. After two guided macro dives, lunch and refreshments are served before returning at approximately 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
This experience is suitable for certified divers who enjoy underwater photography, macro diving, and discovering Bali's hidden marine life.

- As this is a PADI Dive Center, you will be required to fill out a PADI medical form. Please note, if you answer YES to any of the questions consult your doctor prior to arrival for the approval signature, as requested on the form. It is necessary before you can engage in scuba diving.
