This small group tour offers a comprehensive exploration of Iceland’s famous Golden Circle.
Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, walk between the tectonic plates of North America and Eurasia (Almannagjá fissure)and visit the site where Iceland’s parliament (the Alþingi)was established in 930 AD.
Geysir geothermal area, has he active Strokkur geyser, which erupts every few minutes sending boiling water up to 30 meters into the air. Gullfoss waterfall is where the Hvítá river plunges into a deep canyon. Walk along the viewing paths for more viewpoints.
We also stop at Fridheimar Tomato Farm- a unique greenhouse environment that thrives on geothermal energy. Learn about the sustainable practices used to grow tomatoes in Iceland year-round. This is a stop only, not a tour/lunch.
Kerid Crater is a volcanic crater lake with vividly colored slopes and a lake at the bottom. Walk along the crater’s rim or explore the lake.
