The guide will pick you up from your address in Belgrade at 10am(start time can be customized on request) and after an hour drive you'll reach monastery Krusedol. The XVI century monastery complex is considered the most important monastery in Fruska Gora region. This is a perfect place to learn more about Serbian history and turbulent times between Austia and the Ottoman empire.
From Krusedol you'll continue to monastery Grgeteg. This monastery enjoys great respect among Fruska Gora monasteries and one of the reasons is the icon of Holy Mother three-handed. More about its founder and this miraculous icon you’ll learn from your guide along the tour.
Next you'll reach charming baroque looking town- Sremski Karlovci. In the town’s beautiful center there are several must see spots: fountains, residences, cathedrals all of them built in the 18th century. But the main highlight are the wines such as Bermet, which was drunk in many high courts of Europe.
Next stop is one of the most beautiful fortresses in Europe. Petrovaradin is a true baroque gem from the Austro-Hungarian time. Enjoy the amazing view over the Danube, and find out why it took 88 years to finish this fortress and what secrets are kept underneath this site.
When we finish with sightseeing, culture, and history we are stopping at one special place, a family-owned wine cellar for wine tasting and lunch. In this cozy family restaurant, you will experience famous Serbian hospitality and enjoy tasty home made meal. During the winter period this wine cellar is closed and an alternative for lunch is local winery in Sremski Karlovci.
After the local gastronomy experience, the next stop will be donwtown of Novi Sad. Stroll down the charming city center and learn how history shaped this interesting city.
