Pyramids, Sakkara & Dahshur We will pick you up from your hotel, and escort you to the south to start your day tour visiting the Red Pyramid and Bent Pyramid at Dahshur. The site is about 40 km away from Cairo. Dahshur is a famous royal necropolis in Egypt and holds many famous Pyramids including the red and bent Pyramids of king Snefru. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Move on to visit the Step Pyramid of Zoser, the world's oldest major stone structure. It was built in the 3rd Dynasty (around 2630 BC) for King Djoser. Citadel, Coptic, Islamic Cairo We will pick you up from your hotel and you will enjoy the visit to Salah El Din Citadel, which was constructed by Salah El Din on the Moqattam hills to defend Cairo from the armies of Crusaders. After that, we will visit Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque which was designed by the architect Yousif Boushnaq, a Turkish man who came specially from Istanbul to build this great mosque for Mohamed Ali, the ruler of Egypt (1805-1849). He ruled for more than 45 years. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant. The tour continues with a drive to the area of Islamic Cairo. Here you will be able to explore Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s old bazaar. Then we will move on to Coptic Cairo and visit the Hanging Church, Ben Ezra Synagogue, Church of St. Barbara, and the Church of Abu Serga. Transfer to Cairo International Airport for departure.
