  Mosque and Madrasa of Sultan Hassan

  hen drive to The Mosque – Madrassa of Sultan Hassan which is a massive mosque and madrassa located in the old city of Cairo , it was built during the Mamluk Islamic era in Egypt . Its construction began 757 AH /1356 CE with work ending three years later without even a single day of idleness . At the time of construction the mosque was considered remarkable for it’s fantastic size and innovative architectural components . commissioned by an -Nasir Hasan . The Mosque of Sultan Hasan is one of the largest mosques in the world that considered th pyramid of the Islamic architecture ,measuring 150 m in length and covering an area 7,906 square meter .its wall rise to 36 m and its tallest minaret to 68 m .

  Mosque of Ibn Tulun

  Then drive to The Mosque of Ibn Tulun which is located in Cairo , Egypt . It is the Oldest mosque in the City surviving in its original form , and is the largest mosque in Cairo in terms of land area . The mosque was commissioned by Ahmed ibn Tulun , the Turkish Abbassied governor of Egypt from 868 – 884 whose rule was characterized by de facto independence .

  After that finish your tour walking through the oldest street in the world Muizz street which is one of the oldest streets in Cairo , approximately one kilometer long , A United nations study found it to have the greatest concentration of medieval architectural treasures in Islamic world . The street is named for Mu;izz li-Din Allah , the fourth Caliph of Fatimid dynasty , The Street is considered as an open historical book of Islamic history of Egypt .
