Terezín Small Fortress. The Small Fortress is one of the most significant sites of the former Terezín camp system, once used as a Gestapo prison during World War II. Today, it stands as a powerful memorial, with fortified walls, courtyards and solemn spaces that invite quiet reflection. From the outside areas and entrance zones, visitors can sense the historic weight of the place before choosing whether to explore further inside with a dedicated museum ticket.
Terezín Ghetto Museum. Located in the former Terezín ghetto area, the Ghetto Museum commemorates the lives, culture and stories of the people who were imprisoned here. Around the museum building and nearby streets, you’ll find plaques, memorials and simple urban spaces that are filled with historical meaning. This part of Terezín gives a broader context to the site, highlighting both the tragedy and the resilience of those who passed through the ghetto.
Magdeburg Barracks. The Magdeburg Barracks were once used to house prisoners and also became a center of cultural life within the ghetto. Today, the preserved façades and surrounding courtyards form an important memorial space that helps visitors better understand daily life in Terezín.
