Asklepion. The Asklepion of Kos is one of the most important archaeological sites in Greece and a symbol of the island’s ancient medical heritage. Built in the 4th century BC, it functioned as a healing sanctuary dedicated to Asclepius, the god of medicine. Visitors can explore impressive terraces, ancient temples, and ruins that once formed a thriving center of healing and learning. The site also offers beautiful views across the island and the nearby Turkish coastline.
Zia is the most famous mountain village on Kos, known for its charming atmosphere and breathtaking panoramic views. Nestled on the slopes of Mount Dikeos, the village is filled with traditional houses, small artisan shops, and inviting cafés. Visitors often wander through its narrow streets while enjoying local products such as herbs, handmade crafts, and sweets. The elevated location also makes Zia one of the best viewpoints on the island.
Kefalos is a beautiful village located on a hill overlooking one of the most scenic bays on Kos. This traditional settlement offers whitewashed houses, winding streets, and spectacular views of the Aegean Sea. Nearby beaches and dramatic coastal landscapes make the area one of the most photogenic parts of the island. It’s a wonderful place to enjoy authentic island scenery away from the busier resort areas.
Optional Greek Honey Tasting, Kos has a long tradition of beekeeping, and local honey is considered one of the island’s most beloved products. During this stop, visitors can discover the rich flavours of Greek honey while learning about traditional honey production methods.
