  Pyramids of Giza

  your guide will Pickup from your hotel in Cairo or Giza / Airport and then start your tour to The Giza Pyramid Complex, also called the Giza Necropolis which is the site on the Giza Plateau in Greater Cairo, Egypt . It includes the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure, along with their associated pyramid complexes and the Great Sphinx of Giza. All were built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom of Ancient Egypt. The site also includes several cemeteries and the remains of a workers village. The site is at the edges of the Western Desert, approximately 9 kilometers (5.6 mi) west of the Nile River in the city of Giza, and about 13 kilometers (8 mi) southwest of the city center of Cairo . you can also enjoy riding camels there.

  Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu)

  Cheops is the Greek name known in the history of King Khufu; the second pharaoh of the 4th dynasty of Ancient Egypt during the Old Kingdom Period. The 4th dynasty is considered to have been the ‘golden age’ of the Old Kingdom, largely because of the gigantic size and quality of the pyramids built during this time. Beginning with the pyramids the Khufu’s father, Sneferu, built at Dahshur, the 4th dynasty pyramids were larger and more refined than any others built before or after them.

  Khafre's Pyramid

  Khafre (c.2558–2532 BC), whom the ancient Greeks knew as Khefren, was a son of King Khufu (Cheops), the builder of the Great Pyramid. He built the second pyramid complex at Giza, and constructed his tomb on slightly higher ground, making it appear just as tall as his father’s. At 143.5 meters in height, however, his pyramid is only slightly shorter, and a tremendously impressive monument. Its core masonry is made of blocks of local limestone.

  Pyramid of Menkaure

  Menkaure (Mykerinos to the ancient Greeks; c.2532–2503 BC) is the builder of the third of the three large Giza Pyramids. He was most likely the son of Khafre (Khefren), and grandson of Khufu (Cheops). With a base area that is less than a quarter of their pyramids’, and with an original height of 65 meters, Menkaure’s is by far the smallest of the three. This reduction in size is due to several factors, including the limited amount of space left on the Giza Plateau.

  Memphis and Sakkara

  Then you will visit Memphis which is an ancient Egyptian city - one of the World Heritage Sites - and it was founded in 3200 BC by King Narmer. It was the capital of Egypt in the era of the Old Kingdom (dynasties 3-6) as well it was the era when god Ptah (god of craftsman and architects) was worshiped.

  Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids

  you will visit also the Step Pyramid there which is built for king Djoser.it is also an important part in the process of pyramid evolution which were made from the simple mastaba to its widely known form .

  Then you will visit the Bent Pyramid and Red Pyramid . you can also enter the Red pyramid then your tour will end with your guide dropping you off to your hotel / Airport
