In Cartagena, you’ll discover the coastal Caribbean life in the crystal clear waters of the Rosario Islands as well as an approach to relaxation at the mud volcanoes.

In Santa Marta, you’ll visit an indigenous village, and have the opportunity to go tubing down the famous Palmonio River into the Caribbean Sea. Explore Minca, it's cocoa plantation, and hidden waterfalls before enjoying the tropical waters and sandy beaches of Cabo San Juan in Tayrona Park.

    Comuna 13 and City Tour

    Comuna 13 was once one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Colombia, but now it is covered with amazing murals and graffiti; it also now receives thousands of tourists every year. On this tour, you’ll also enjoy a cable car ride, fruit tasting and get to ride the outside escalators, which helped transform this neighborhood into what it is today. Next, you’ll continue onto a magnificent Medellín City Tour starting in the Plaza Botero, and including a tram ride. The complete journey you will take today will be guided with our local expert who will explain every part of the good, bad and the sometimes-ugly history of this fantastic city.

    Guatape and Coffee Tour

    Guatape

    You’ll be driven through some of the most beautiful scenery to a coffee farm for a visit and a full explanation of the complete process from seed to cup. You’ll enjoy tasting some of Colombia’s precious black gold before continuing on to the replica town of Old Peñol; this town was actually flooded and is at the bottom of Lake Guatape now. The only part of this town that is still visible is the church spiral that sticks out above the watermarking the spot for everyone to see (you can visit this spot later in the day). Next, it’s onto Guatape Rock; once here you will have the opportunity to climb the 740 steps to the very top with absolutely breathtaking views every step of the way. At the top, you’ll have time to catch your breath and relax before leisurely taking the 740 steps back down again. On return to the ground, you will be collected and driven to the nearby Guatape Town, where you’ll enjoy a walking tour of the cobblestone streets lined with colorful buildings.

    Santa Fe de Antioquia

    Your first stop of the day will be a cable car ride (actually 4) across lush valleys filled with farms of everything you can imagine, as well as beautiful trees and rivers. You’ll be making 3 stops along the way to change cable cars and for more fantastic views and photos. Following this, you will carry on to the historic town of Santa Fe de Antioquia, where you will enjoy a fantastic guided tour through this beautiful town. Here you will discover buildings dating back to colonial times, an absolutely delightful plaza (main square), and learn the history of the church that was never completed. After you have wandered these stone streets and taken many photos you will continue on to the Western Bridge. This bridge was actually built by an architect that was also involved with building the Brooklyn Bridge in New York.

    Free Day and a Food Tour by Night

    Enjoy a Free Day exploring Medellín by yourselves. Your Food Tour will begin at 6:30 pm, so you will get to experience some of the Medellín nightlife at the same time. This is truly the most delicious food tour in Medellin. You’ll get to try common street food and beloved local delicacies eaten almost daily by the local people of Medellin. Along with this, you’ll also enjoy some exotic fruit juices and typical meals from the wonderful region of Antioquia.

    Santa Marta

    You’ll be transferred to the airport for a morning flight to Santa Marta. Where we have organized your driver to collect you and take you directly to your hotel. Depending on the hotel- style you choose, you will be staying in the Historic Sector of Santa Marta or next to Tayrona Park. There are no activities planned for this day, so just relax, drink plenty of bottled water (its hot here) and maybe check out a beach nearby.

    Minca – A Breath of Fresh Mountain Air

    Travel to the small town of Minca where you'll breathe in the fresh mountain air and enjoy a tour of this wonderful little mountain pueblo, including its wonderful cafes and artisan shops. Following this, you'll receive a coffee tour, where you'll learn everything about the production of the Colombia liquid gold, from the seed to cup. Next, it's time to uncover the process of creating chocolate! where you'll discover the wonderful flavors of Colombian Cocoa, and perhaps you'll enjoy a chocolate facemask as well! To finish off you're mountain adventure you'll explore some hidden waterfalls, with the opportunity for a refreshing swim (don't forget your swimming trunks)! Of course, throughout your journey, you need to keep an eye out for any exotic birds that happen to be hanging out close by!

    Kogi Indigenous Village

    Enjoy a relaxing transfer up the coast to the beautiful seaside town of Palomino. Here you’ll be changing transport to the back of a motorbike and take a 1-hour ride through some magnificent scenery to the Kogi Indigenous Village of Tungueca. Here you’ll enjoy visiting and interacting with their culture for approximately an hour, before heading off to take a refreshing swim in the river nearby. If you’d also like to enjoy tubing down the Palomino River as well as visiting the Kogi indigenous, just let us know! (Optional with No Additional Cost) Your day’s plan will be basically the same except you’ll also enjoy a 1.3-hour ecological walk, visit the Sevianca Kogi Village, and enjoy approximately 3 hours of tubing.

    Free Day or Tayrona National Park

    Tayrona National Park

    Enjoy a Free Day exploring by yourselves or perhaps you’d like to take a guided tour to Cabo San Juan in Tayrona National Park. If you choose this tour you’ll enjoy a guided 2-hour ecological walk through the jungle, visiting 4 beaches including Arenillas, La Piscina, Los Arrecifes, and Cabo San Juan, learning about the local environment and the local indigenous. Once you’ve arrived in Cabo San Juan you’ll enjoy some fantastic beach time (approx. 3 hours), along with time to explore the area or partake in watersports, such as snorkeling. After your beach-time has passed you’ll enjoy a 1.3-hour walk through the jungle and your waiting transportation. Your guide will also be safeguarding your possessions and readily available to take the perfect photo of yourselves, in the perfect setting.

    Transfer to Cartagena + Day/Night City Tour

    Relax in a morning drive along the coast and through the mountains to the awaiting walled city of Cartagena. Once here you’ll check into your hotel and enjoy some free time before a City Tour starting around 3:30 pm. On this wonderful tour you will not only get to see the most important sites of this beautiful city during the day but the spectacular sight of this ancient city under lights as well.

    You’ll be starting your day with a 7:30 am pickup from your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle. From there we’ll take you to pier de la bodeguita (Wharf of the Bodeguita) where a speedboat will be waiting to take you on a breathtaking ocean cruise touring the Rosario Islands to arrive at a beautiful picturesque beach. Once here you’ll also be assigned your personal beach space, which will be exclusive for yourself and members of your group. You’ll receive full beach service, a fantastic typical lunch; use of deckchairs and umbrellas; a cocktail on arrival and English-speaking hosts. You will not receive any annoying beach vendors trying to sell you souvenirs or anything you do not wish. You will have the full day to relax and enjoy your space, along with the ability to hire gear for snorkeling, paddleboarding or kayaking. This will be one of the highlights of your Caribbean adventure!

    Mangrove and Mud-Volcano Tour

    Volcan de Lodo El Totumo

    Enjoy a mud bath in the mineral-rich, world-famous El Volcán de Lodo El Totumo (The mud volcano of Totumo). Here locals will help you massage the mud onto your body. After your relaxing mud bath, a group of women in the Totumo Marsh will be responsible for your cleaning. At the end of this process, we head to the beautiful beaches of Manzanillo del Mar where you’ll enjoy a swim in the tropical waters. Next, you’ll enjoy a fabulous typical Caribbean lunch including Coconut rice, fried fish, green salad, and patacones (think of them as banana fritters). Following lunch you’ll Explore the Cartagena Mangroves in a canoe skippered by an expert local fisherman; following this you’ll enjoy a walk through their community to see how the locals truly live.
