Step inside the private world of the Kings of Versailles!
Experience a more intimate and exclusive side of the Palace of Versailles with a guided tour of the King’s Private Apartments.
These remarkable rooms are not included in the standard Palace visit and can only be accessed with a guide. Away from the busiest areas of the Palace, you will explore the private apartments of Louis XV and Louis XVI in a small group, accompanied by a professional guide selected by the Versailles Tourist and Convention Office.
Discover the rooms where some of the most fascinating moments in French history took place. See the room where Mozart performed a private concert for the royal family and the room where Louis XVI received Benjamin Franklin during the American War of Independence.
During this 1-hour-30-minute tour, your guide will reveal the private lives of the kings, the secrets of the royal court and the refined decorative style of 18th-century Versailles.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Please be at the meeting point around 30 minutes before the guided tour starting time. Your guide will meet you at the foot of the equestrian statue, holding a "Destination Versailles Grand Parc" sign. We won't be able to accept you if you are late.
The visitors will be able to stay in the Palace of Versailles and visit the Grand Apartments on their own at the end of the guided tour.

Visit an exclusive part of the Palace of Versailles : the King's Private Apartment (not accessible outside of a guided tour), including Louis XV's bedchamber, the Clock Room, the recently renovated Corner Room, Louis XVI's library and more.

3La Galerie des Glaces
After your guided tour, visit at your own pace the rest of the Palace of Versailles and discover the famous Hall of Mirrors: the crown jewel of Versailles. Then explore the rest of the Grand Apartments.
