Explore the impressive Great Court before entering the awe-inspiring Great Hypostyle Hall, where 134 massive sandstone columns rise high above, creating the atmosphere of an ancient stone forest. Continue through the vast temple complex to the Sacred Lake, where pharaohs and priests once performed purification rituals before religious ceremonies. Luxor Temple
Continue to the magnificent Luxor Temple, one of the most impressive monuments of ancient Egypt. Originally connected to Karnak Temple by the three-kilometre-long Avenue of Sphinxes, the temple was primarily built by Amenhotep III and later expanded and embellished by Tutankhamun, Ramses II, and Alexander the Great, each leaving their mark on this remarkable sanctuary. After your visit, transfer to your Nile Cruise and check in for your 5-day/4-night Nile Cruise. Continue to the Valley of the Kings, the royal burial ground of the ancient pharaohs of Thebes (modern-day Luxor). Explore three of the best-preserved tombs included with your entrance ticket, renowned for their remarkable wall paintings and vibrant colors. As guides are not permitted inside the tombs, your Egyptologist will provide a detailed explanation beforehand, highlighting the history and key features to look for during your visit. If you wish, you may also visit the Tomb of King Tutankhamun for an additional entrance fee, payable on-site.

Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari
Continue to the Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, the magnificent mortuary temple of Egypt's most successful female pharaoh. Set dramatically against towering limestone cliffs, this remarkable colonnaded temple is considered one of the masterpieces of ancient Egyptian architecture. After your visit, transfer back to your Nile cruise. Breakfast on board. Begin your sightseeing with a visit to the Unfinished Obelisk, located in the ancient granite quarries where many of Egypt's famous obelisks were carved. Had it been completed, it would have stood approximately 42 metres high and weighed nearly 1,200 tons, making it the largest obelisk ever attempted.

Aswan High Dam
