At 06:00 am you will be met and assisted at the lobby of your hotel in Luxor and transferred to Edfu city located 110KM south of Luxor (almost 2 hours’ Drive). Start to visit Edfu temple, the best preserved temple in Egypt. The temple of Edfu was one of several temples built during the Ptolemaic Kingdom, dedicated to Horus and Hathor of Dendera. The inscriptions on its walls provide important information on language, myth and religion during the Hellenistic period in Egypt.
Drive on to Kom-ombo (almost 01:30 hour drive). Unlike most of ancient Egyptian temples, Kom ombo temple is dedicated to two gods, the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Haroeris "Horus the Elder". The Temple was constructed during the Ptolemaic dynasty, 180–47 BC. Some additions to it were later made during the Roman period. Several of the 300 crocodile mummies discovered in the vicinity are displayed inside the temple Crocodile Museum.
Continue driving to Aswan, located almost 1 hour driving to the south, enjoy lunch at local restaurant is included, and then enjoy a motorboat ride to another highlight today is the beautiful Philae Temple complex. The three principal monuments on the island all date from the Ptolemaic and Roman periods are the Temple of Isis, the Temple of Hathor and the Kiosk of Trajan. Finally you will be transferred to your hotel in Aswan (Booked by Customers), check-in with free time at leisure and overnight stay
At 04:30 am– (Please ask your hotel to arrange a box-breakfast to be ready on time) - Your tour guide will escort you and transfer to visit the famous Abu Simbel temple (almost 3hour drive from Aswan). On arrival, your guide will show you the world renowned site where Ramses II (1290-1223 B.C), ordered two sun temples carved from the limestone mountains. In front of the Great temple of Ra-Harakhte and Amon-Re, there are four famous colossal statues of Ramses II, sit majestically staring out across the desert, over 20 meters high each. While in front of the small temple, there are six massive standing statues of Queen Nefertari, favorite wife of Ramses II, each 10 meters high. The small temple dedicated to the cow-headed goddess Hathor of love and Music.
In your way to Aswan, you will visit Aswan high dam, an embankment dam built across the Nile to control the floods and produce electricity.
Enjoy Lunch at a good quality local restaurant in Aswan. After finished, transfer to your hotel in Luxor “almost 4 hours ride” Or Drop you off at Aswan airport (Flight should be after 15:00)
