Discover the magical wonderland of Myvatn and the breathtaking waterfall `Godafoss´ with an experienced and local tour guide. We start our trip at the port of Akureyri, stop at the stunning Godafoss waterfall and continue our tour to the famous area of Myvatn. In the area around Myvatn we visit the Dimmuborgir lava formations and the Námafjall where you can marvel at the bubbling hot sulphur springs `Hverir´ and the natural volcanic steam holes (fumaroles). We also visit the natural springs in Myvatn where you have the opportunity to enjoy a warm bath and/or a meal. (Please note that entry to the natural springs is NOT included in the excursion price. Please inform the tour guide upon departure if you would like to visit the springs.) We offer German-speaking and local tour guides. Departure and arrival point is the port of Akureyri.

Meeting point is the parking lot at the harbour 'Oddeyrarbryggja'. Look for our tour guides with the 'Ímagine Iceland Travel' signs.

1Godafoss
We visit the breathtaking waterfall `Godafoss´ the waterfall of the gods on our journey from Akureyri to Lake Myvatn

2Lake Myvatn
We visit the main attractions in Myvatn. This includes Námaskarð where you can see the bubbling clay holes `Hverir´ and the natural steam (fumaroles), the Dimmuborgir lava formations and the Myvatn natural spring. (Note: Entrance to the natural springs is not included). For those who do not wish to visit the natural springs, there is the option to explore the Grotagja cave and fissure.

3Myvatn Nature Baths (Jardbodin vid Myvatn)
We stop at the natural springs where you can enjoy a warm bath and/or a meal. (Please note that the entrance fee to the natural springs is NOT included in the tour price. Please inform the tour guide upon departure if you would like to visit the springs.)
