Enjoy a scenic drive down into the Rift Valley, to Masai Mara, Kenya's premier game reserve. You will be in your own private safari vehicle. Stop briefly en-route at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for stunning views of what is the world's largest valley. Arrive at Masai Mara for lunch. The afternoon game-drive at 3:30 pm allows spotting of the unrivaled wildlife in the park. Return to your lodge by 6:30 pm.
Early morning breakfast followed by a full day of game drives within the reserve. The Maasai Mara is famous for its black mane lions and the annual wildebeest migration. This is probably one of Kenya's most visited reserves with an extraordinary density of animals including the Big five and many other varieties of plains game. The Mara River cuts through the Mara and Serengeti ecosystems giving life to both reserves before finally pouring out into Lake Victoria. Impressive and most notable is the wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle instinct-led Great Migration (July-October) from the Serengeti in Tanzania to the Mara in Kenya. You will have a picnic lunch and continue with the game drives arriving at the camp in the evening. Add more richness to your Masai mara experience with an optional cultural visit to a Maasai village. Another optional event is an early morning hot air balloon ride over the reserve.
After breakfast, you embark on your journey back to Nairobi-Kenya colorful city. On the way spot Mt. Longonot an extinct strato volcano located southeast of Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift valley of Kenya. Believed to have last erupted in the 1860s and its name is derived from the Masai word Oloonong'ot, meaning ''mountains of many spurs'' or ''steep ridges''. One can opt to drive via Lake Naivasha for lunch/excursions at an (extra cost) OR drive straight to Nairobi and pass by Fairview Coffee farm for the coffee farm tour at an (extra cost) OR straight back to the capital and later transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International airport for flight back home or Nairobi hotel
