Probably no other city is as closely interwoven with the history of Egypt as Luxor. The great past of the “City of Palaces” lives on to this day. Next to the famous Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut is the UNESCO World Heritage Site Karnak Temple in Luxor.
Sights / itinerary in Luxor
The air-conditioned bus will pick you up from your hotel and reach the city of Luxor in around 4 hours. With our German-speaking tour guide you will explore the Karnak Temple and let yourself be transported back in time. Your path then leads you to the west bank of the Nile, to the two colossal statues of Amenhotep III, also known as the Colossi of Memnon. In the Valley of the Kings you will visit magnificent tombs and then the impressive temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Finally, you will have some free time in Luxor before your return journey to your hotel in Hurghada.

Luxor (Pass by)
You will make a characteristic tour of the alabaster factory. This attraction will familiarize you with the ancient Egyptian techniques of making alabaster statues. This interesting visit will increase your knowledge of daily life in ancient Egypt and will also be useful to the Egyptian artisans who work in this sector and preserve this very old handicraft from ancient Egypt.
