At around 1:00 a.m. you will be picked up from your hotel and taken to Cairo in an air-conditioned coach. Once you arrive, you will be met by your tour guide, who will accompany you for the entire tour. The excursion begins with a visit to the Egyptian Museum, which, in addition to its over 120,000 exhibits, also houses the golden coffin of Tutankhamun. Afterwards you will enjoy lunch. The rest of the excursion takes you to the great pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus. The tour of the pyramids ends at the Sphinx and the temple located around it. Due to the convoy, the journey from Hurghada to Cairo (one way) can take between 6 and 8 hours, as all buses and cars have to be driven in a police car for security reasons. The coach will drop you off in front of your hotel at around 11 p.m.
Since all buses have to wait for the convoy leaving Cairo for Hurghada at the end of the day, you will make one or two of the following stops: characteristic visits to the Papyrus Museum and the Essential Oil Factory. These two attractions will familiarize you with the ancient Egyptian techniques of making papyrus and essences. These two interesting visits will increase your knowledge of daily life in ancient Egypt and will also help the Egyptian farmers who work in these sectors and preserve these very old handicrafts from ancient Egypt.
