Then, we will head to Huaca Pucllana for a panoramic visit outside; thus, you will know this pre-Inca vestige of adobe and get a clear introduction to the Lima civilization. During this stop, you will taste a Peruvian artisan ice cream (lucuma, chirimoya or passion fruit) to refresh the road.
Afterwards, we will continue to the El Olivar Forest (San Isidro) for a brief walk among centuries-old olive trees; in this way, you will appreciate a traditional area of the city with calm and good photographic perspective.
Next, we will move to the Historic Center for a guided walk through the Plaza Mayor. From the outside, we will admire the Cathedral, the Government Palace and the Municipality of Lima, while the guide shares historical context and anecdotes. If it is Tuesday to Sunday, we will include a visit to the BCR Museum to learn about representative pieces of Peruvian culture.
Next, we will enter the Convent of Santo Domingo to tour its temple and cloisters; there, you will know the spaces linked to Santa Rosa de Lima and San Martín de Porres, essential figures of the Peruvian faith.
On the other hand, you will have free time to visit a craft market (optional) and purchase local souvenirs. Finally, we will close with a guided tasting of Peruvian piscos and cocktails; thanks to this, you will discover aromas and styles that distinguish the flag drink of Peru.
