The Egyptian Museum of Cairo contains 120,000 artifacts. It houses the world’s largest collection of Pharaonic antiquities. An extensive collection of papyrus, Greek, Roman, and Islamic coins used in the Ancient world are located on the 1st floor. The best statue you will see is the Gold Mask of Tutankhamun.

4Mosque of Muhammad Ali
Then head to your second stop for the day to visit Saladin Citadel. It is an Islamic fortification located in El Mokattam hill near Cairo Center. The citadel was built to protect Cairo from the Crusaders’ attacks. The citadel complex contains several important buildings such as the famous Muhammad Ali Mosque which was constructed as an imitation of the Sultan Ahmed Mosque in Istanbul. You will also visit Al-Gawhara Palace which was Muhammad Ali’s official audience hall, where he used to receive his guests. The palace contains a 1000 kg chandelier, a gift from Louis-Philippe I of France. It also contains Muhammad Ali’s throne, a gift from the King of Italy. At the end of the day, we will transfer you back to the tour starting point
