Overlooking the town of Livadeia, the historic castle stands proudly on the hillside, offering a striking view that can be admired from the area of Krya. Built in medieval times, the castle played an important defensive role due to its strategic position above the city. Although the castle remains an impressive landmark and an important part of Livadeia’s history, access to the site is limited and visiting it is not easy. Nevertheless, its presence adds a strong sense of character to the town, reminding visitors of its rich and layered past as they explore the surrounding area.
