    On your arrival in Athens airport or port, you will be met and greeted by our tour representative, who will assist you with the transfer and with the check-in to your hotel in Athens. The rest of the day will be at your leisure to explore this never sleeping city. You may optionally visit Syntagma Square and get into the city’s vibe or explore the city in our “One night in Athens” tour, which will offer you the first insight into the ancient history of the cradle of the civilization. Enjoy shopping in one of the most popular streets of the city in the Kolonaki area or Ermou, and have a nice, quiet walk at the beautiful alleys of Plaka (the old district) where you can also find a big number of small shops selling souvenirs and other local artifacts.     ATHENS: HALF-DAY CITY TOUR

    After breakfast, your tour begins and you explore the striking contrasts that make Athens such a fascinating city. Our expert guides will take you to see the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of modern times were held in 1896 (short stop). Continue and pass by the Prime Minister's residence (ex Royal Palace) guarded by the Euzones in their colourful uniform, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian's Arch, the Parliament and the memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, the Constitution Square (Syntagma). On the Acropolis visit the Architectural Masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: The Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally "the harmony between material and spirit", the monument that "puts order in the mind", the Parthenon.
