Three meals will be at your own expense that day. This time is the time for the guests to meet with our staff after picking up their luggage at the baggage claim area of the airline they are taking.

    Today we will tour the city of Bogota. Bogotá's historic city centre "La Candelaria" with its impressive churches, the State Palace and the "Plaza Bolívar" will be explored with the company of your guide explaining each building’s history in detail. Then we will visit the Museo Botero. The creative paintings here are imaginative and adorable, with the most famous being Mona Lisa, which is very interesting. Following, we will go to the Museo del Oro, where the gold ornaments have a long history. Afterwards, we will head to Montserrat Mountain! Taking on the cable car, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the whole city. Itinerary: La Candelaria → Museo Botero → Museo del Oro (include ticket) → Monserrate (include carble car ticket) → Hotel Special Note: The Museo Botero is closed on Tuesday and the Museo del Oro is closed on Monday.

    Mount Monserrate

    Monserrate Monserrate is a high mountain over 10,000 feet high in elevation that dominates the city center of Bogotá. It rises to 3,152 meters above sea level. There is a church with a shrine, devoted to El Señor Caído. To get to the top of mountain faster, you can take a funicular or cable car. However, the pedestrian path is ideal for anyone wanting to truly enjoy nature views along the way.

    After breakfast, our staff will transfer you to the airport and you will take a flight to Medellin, the second largest city in Colombia. We will take a tour of the city of Medellin. First of all, we will head to the El Pueblito Paisa. Get an insight of the history of city visiting the “Pueblito Paisa” and enjoy perfect views of the city. Then we will explore the famous Botero Plaza downtown with an exhibition of the Colombian artist Fernando Botero, whose sculptures have become a landmark of the city. Following, we will take the Metro Cable up to Santo Domingo, which was once a notorious area of gang violence in Medellín. Finally, at the Comuna 13 district with its unique escalators you observe another innovative project that improved the quality of life of the people of Medellín.

    El Penon de Guatape

    El Peñón de Guatapé The El Peñon de Guatape or Piedra de Penol, is a massive stone that rises over 650 feet out of the flat ground of Guatape. The rock, which is almost entirely smooth, has one long crack that climbers use in ascending it. In the crack was later wedged a 649-step masonry staircase and the only way to get to the top of the Piedra de Penol. You can also ascend the rock along the staircase to overlook the dramatic series of the lakes and islands nearby.

We will first visit the Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas, the largest fortification built by the Spanish in their colonies. Then we will go to the historical center to visit the San Pedro Clavér Convent Museum, former Jesuit Cloister (1605) and home of the so-called "Slave of the Slaves". Finally, we will make a tour of approximately 2 hours through the main squares, churches and streets of the city. We will also walk over the city walls to have the best views of the city and to know the most important bastions.

    Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas is a fortification of Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. It is located on a hill called San Lazaro and was built in 1657 during the Spanish colonial period. In 1984, UNESCO listed this location as a historical center of Cartagena Indian City and Saint Philippe de Barajas Castle on the World Heritage list. It is considered to even be one of the seven wonders of Colombia and one of the largest buildings built on the Colombian territory.

    Plaza de San Pedro Claver

    Plaza de San Pedro Claver Founded by Jesuits in the first half of the 17th century as Convento San Ignacio de Loyola, this convent later changed its name to honor Spanish-born monk Pedro Claver (1580–1654), who lived and died here. Called the 'Apostle of the Blacks' or the 'Slave of the Slaves,' the monk spent his life ministering to enslaved people brought from Africa. A series of lucid paintings inside the building relates his life story. The convent is a monumental three-story building surrounding a tree-filled courtyard, and much of it is open as a museum.
