Drive about 1-hours to the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea, where you’ll have leisure time at the beach and the unique experience of floating effortlessly in its salty waters. Afterwards, return to Amman to explore the city’s historical treasures. Visit the Citadel Hill, home to remnants from the Roman through early Islamic periods, including the Umayyad Palace, and enjoy sweeping views over Amman and the Roman Theatre. Stroll through the lively Souq for a glimpse of local daily life, then continue to Jabal Amman with its charming early 20th-century architecture. Overnight stay at your Amman hotel.
In the morning, we drive to Jerash, one of the best-preserved Roman provincial cities in the Middle East. Explore its impressive oval forum, the grand colonnaded street, the Nymphaeum, and the Temple of Artemis. Continue to Ajloun to visit the mighty 12th-century Islamic castle, built in 1184/85 under the command of Salah al-Din. Return to Amman for overnight stay.
After breakfast, drive to the town of Madaba to see the famous 6th-century mosaic map of Palestine at St. George’s Church. Continue with a short ride to Mount Nebo, the place where Prophet Moses gazed upon the Promised Land before he died. Visit the ancient monastery and enjoy panoramic views over the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and parts of the Holy Land. Following the historic King’s Way, stop briefly at Wadi Al-Mujib, a stunning valley with dramatic geological formations. Proceed to Shobak to explore its impressive Crusader castle, built by King Baldwin I of Jerusalem. Finally, continue to Petra for check-in and overnight.
After breakfast, visit the Red Rose City of Petra, Jordan’s most famous attraction. Founded around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs, Petra became the center of a thriving commercial empire that stretched into Syria. Walk through the narrow gorge known as the Siq to reach the breathtaking Treasury. Continue along the Street of Facades to see the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh’s Castle. Your guide will conclude the tour at the restaurant area, leaving you with free time to explore Petra at your own pace before returning through the Siq to the entrance. Drive back to Amman for overnight at your hotel.
After breakfast, your journey in Jordan comes to an end. Check-out is usually around noon, and you are free to depart at your convenience for your transfer to the airport. Wishing you a safe flight and wonderful memories — until we meet again!
