Welcome to Jordan – Upon arrival at Queen Alia International Airport, our representative will greet you at the exit gate. You will then be transferred (approximately 30 minutes) to Amman, the capital city, spread across 19 scenic hills. Enjoy a short orientation drive to get a first impression of this vibrant modern city before being escorted to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is yours to relax at leisure. If your arrival is earlier in the day, we can arrange an optional short excursion upon request—please let us know in advance to organize this for you.
After breakfast, meet your driver at your hotel entrance and set off on a short drive north to Jerash, home to some of the most impressive and best-preserved Greco-Roman ruins in the world. Once a thriving city and favored by Emperor Hadrian, Jerash showcases a remarkable collection of archways, theatres, baths, temples, public squares, and colonnaded avenues. As you explore, your guide will bring the city’s fascinating history to life, helping you envision the grandeur of ancient Roman times. Don’t miss the Oval Plaza, encircled by majestic columns—an atmospheric spot to pause and reflect after your journey through the site’s timeless treasures. After your visit, return to Amman for the remainder of the day.
Head to Mount Nebo – Rising to nearly 1,000 meters, Mount Nebo is one of Jordan’s most sacred sites. Just a short 30-minute drive from the Baptism Site of Jesus Christ, this revered mountain is traditionally believed to be the place where Moses viewed the Promised Land. From its summit, visitors are rewarded with sweeping panoramas stretching across the Dead Sea, Bethlehem, and even as far as Jerusalem on a clear day. The visit typically lasts about one hour, offering both breathtaking views and profound historical significance.
Heading to the Dead Sea – Famous for its extreme salinity, the Dead Sea is unlike any other body of water on earth. Its high mineral content makes the water so dense that swimming is nearly impossible—yet effortlessly floating on the surface is a unique and unforgettable experience.
Departing the Dead Sea, journey south towards the historic Crusader Castle of Shobak. Built in the early 12th century to safeguard the eastern flank of the Latin Kingdom and its vital trade routes, this imposing fortress later fell to the legendary Saladin in 1189. Explore its ancient walls and imagine the battles that once shaped the region’s history.
Head to Petra – Dating back to the 6th century BC, Petra is Jordan’s crown jewel and one of the world’s most iconic archaeological treasures. This ancient Nabataean city is renowned for its remarkable tombs, temples, and dwellings carved directly into rose-red sandstone cliffs, earning it the name “The Rose City.” Upon arrival, take some time to settle in, explore the modern town that has developed around the site, and relax in preparation for a full day of discovery in Petra tomorrow.
A Full Day in Petra – Spend the day exploring the Rose-Red City, beginning with a walk through the dramatic Siq to the breathtaking Treasury. Discover Petra’s highlights, including the Roman road, amphitheater, and carved tombs, with the option to climb to the Monastery for sweeping views. After a light lunch and free time to wander at your own pace, consider the optional Petra by Night experience, where the Treasury is illuminated by candlelight and accompanied by Bedouin music – a truly magical sight.
Petra to Wadi Rum – Rise early for an optional unguided morning visit to Petra before heading south to the spectacular desert of Wadi Rum, a protected landscape of soaring sandstone mountains, vast canyons, and natural arches. Stop for lunch in the village of Rum and visit the informative visitor center before boarding a local jeep for an adventure deep into the desert. Explore Wadi Rum’s unique rock formations and take in the vast silence of this otherworldly landscape. In the evening, experience genuine Bedouin hospitality as you share a traditional zarb dinner (cooked in an underground oven) at a desert camp. Fall asleep beneath a breathtaking canopy of stars and wake to a magical sunrise over the red-hued sands.
Wadi Rum to Amman – Wake up surrounded by the unique beauty of your Bedouin camp and enjoy a morning walk, tailored to your group’s preference, before climbing one of the large dunes for panoramic desert views. Afterwards, travel back to Amman for the evening. Consider ending your adventure with a memorable final dinner at one of the city’s popular local restaurants – your guide can recommend the best spots to experience authentic Jordanian cuisine.
Departure from Jordan – After breakfast, your trip comes to an end. Check-out is typically around noon, and you may depart at your convenience, with a transfer directly to Queen Alia International Airport. Time to say goodbye and take with you unforgettable memories of Jordan.
