2The Citadel
Amman City Tour After breakfast, begin your exploration of Amman Citadel (Jebel al-Qala’a), the city’s most iconic historic site. Perched atop one of Amman’s seven hills, the Citadel showcases structures dating back to ancient times, including the Temple of Hercules, the Ayyubid watchtower, and the impressive Great Hand statue. Next, visit the Roman Theatre, a half-circle amphitheater dating from the 2nd century AD. Once used for concerts and theatrical performances, the theatre could accommodate up to 6,000 spectators and continues to host cultural events today, offering a fascinating glimpse into Amman’s rich Roman heritage.

3Jerash Ruins
Jerash Day Trip Drive north from Amman to Jerash, widely regarded as the best-preserved Roman provincial city in the Middle East.
