Day 1: Arrival in Amman Upon arrival at Queen Alia International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by our representative holding a welcome sign with your name after you exit customs. Enjoy a comfortable 30-minute transfer to your hotel in Amman. After check-in, the remainder of the day is at leisure for rest or independent exploration. Overnight in Amman.
Day 2: Amman – Jerash Start the day with a guided Amman city tour to explore the capital’s vibrant blend of modern life and rich history. Visit the Citadel, featuring remains from the Roman to early Islamic periods, and explore the Archaeological Museum, home to an impressive collection including several Dead Sea Scrolls. Stroll through the bustling Souq, experiencing local life, and continue to the 2nd-century Roman Theater, an amphitheater with 6,000 seats. In the afternoon, drive to Jerash, one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the Middle East. Known for its remarkable blend of Greco-Roman and Oriental influences, Jerash is especially beautiful in spring with its rolling hills and lush greenery. Day 3: Eastern Jordan – Desert Castles Today, explore the fascinating Desert Castles of eastern Jordan. Begin with Qasr Amra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its zodiac dome and some of the earliest examples of Umayyad fresco paintings. Continue to the enigmatic Qasr Kharanah, a fortress whose original purpose remains a mystery. Founded around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs, Petra became the center of a flourishing commercial empire. Begin at the Visitor Center and pass through the dramatic Siq, a narrow gorge leading to Petra’s most stunning monument: the Treasury (Al-Khazneh). Continue along the Street of Facades, explore the Theatre, and admire the Royal Tombs carved into the rose-colored cliffs. Afterward, drive approximately 1.5 hours south to the protected area of Wadi Rum, one of the world’s most spectacular desert landscapes. Discover the desert’s canyons, sand dunes, and Nabatean rock inscriptions, and experience traditional Bedouin life, optionally on a 4x4 jeep tour. Overnight in Wadi Rum camp.
