It’s a small group tour that takes you along the eastern bank of Luxor where you can view some of the largest and most beautiful sights of Egypt! Among these sights are the breathtaking Karnak Temple constructed from the beginning of the Middle Kingdom to the Greco Roman, and the magnificent Temple of Luxor which was built by Amenhotep III in 18th Dynasty.

Here you’ll also find the statues of Rameses standing tall and guarding them against evil. Start your half day tour, after picking you up from the hotel, to the east bank of Luxor. The Egyptologist guide will explain all about the history of the Karnak Temples and the Luxor Temple and you’ll learn about why the Karnak Temples were built in dedication to the Egyptian God Amon, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu.

    Temple of Karnak

    After arriving from Hurghada, we will first visit famous Karnak Temple! The Karnak Temple is Egypt's largest temple, and its ruins can still be seen today. The Karnak Temple, which was constructed between 2200 and 360 BC by several pharaohs, includes the great temple of Amun, as well as other smaller temples, chapels, and the great sacred lake. Hatshepsut, Seti I, Ramses II, and Ramses III were the most powerful pharaohs involved in its construction.

    Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari

    After the Karnak temple, we will visit the temple of one of the most interesting rulers of Egypt - Queen Hatshepsut! The architect Sennenmut designed the Temple of Hatshepsut, also known as the Temple of Deir el-Bahari. It was founded in honor of Hatshepsut, Egypt's only long-reigning female pharaoh. It was constructed between the seventh and twenty-first years of her reign, with a part excavated in the rock and three terraces on the outside.

    Valley of the Kings

    After lunch, we will continue our visit to Valley of the Kings. The Valley of the Kings is an Ancient Egyptian necropolis where many of the New Kingdom's pharaohs are buried; more than 60 tombs cut into the rocks have been found. The valley was once known as "Ta Iset Maat," which means "place of truth." King Tuthmosis I, of the 18th dynasty, was the first pharaoh to be buried in the Valley of the Kings.

    Colossi of Memnon

    At the end of our tour, we will visit Colossi of Memnon. The Colossi of Memnon are two huge statues of Amenophis III that guarded his funerary temple in Luxor, on the Nile's west bank. The sculptures, which date back 3,400 years, depict a peaceful pharaoh staring at the Rising Sun with his hands on his knees. His mother, Queen Mutemwiya, and his wife, Queen Tiy, are sculpted in the lower section.
