What to expect

Start your journey in the peaceful surroundings of Rizari Park, just steps from central Athens. Under the shade of the trees, your expert facilitator will guide you through a short, engaging timeline of ancient Greek philosophy, connecting Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle.

From there, you’ll walk to the nearby Archaeological Site of Lyceum (entry ticket not included), where Aristotle founded his famous school of philosophy. Just like ancient students, you’ll philosophize while walking, discussing how to apply Aristotle’s moral theory in real life to achieve Eudaimonia – a life well-lived.

Along the way, you’ll join a fun, thought-provoking virtue-choice game, exploring ethical dilemmas and discovering Aristotle’s concept of virtue.

To wrap up, you’ll gather at a small open-air amphitheater overlooking the ruins. There, you’ll read selected quotes from Aristotle (yes, even in Ancient Greek!) and reflect on how his wisdom still speaks to us today – whether you’re a teen, parent, educator, or curious traveler.

Option to enhance your learning with an extra hour of Plato’s Philosophy, including an interactive debate on an ethical dilemma.
