Our day cruise excursion takes you further south, to Mount Athos Peninsula known as Agion Oros, which means Holy Mountain in Greek. A World Heritage Site and self-governed state in the Hellenic Republic, Athos is home to 20 Eastern Orthodox monasteries under the direct jurisdiction of the patriarch of Constantinople. However, a rule called “avaton” permits access only to adult men and young males accompanied by their fathers, so please note that we are not allowed to approach it within less than 500 m. Possible stops to admire the following Holy Monasteries: Dochiariou, Xenofontos, Panteleimonos (Russian), and Xiropotamou.

The tower of Prosforion is the landmark of Ouranoupolis located next to its harbor. It's the largest and best-preserved tower in Halkidiki built in the 14th century. The tower is also known as the “Tower of Loch”, both names are related to the tower’s history.

As soon as the cultural tour around Mount Athos comes to an end, this is exactly where the summer fun begins! Relax on the deck, treat yourself with cool refreshments and tasty snacks and have the opportunity to make some new friends, as seagulls and dolphins will likely escort you until you reach Drenia, also known as Donkey islands. These little islets offer the best spot to go swimming, snorkeling, and experience what fun in the sea is all about! Unwind and recharge on the white sand beach and in the crystal clear turquoise waters before sailing back to your starting point.
