Picking you up from your hotel at 5 am, this Kumana National Park safari tour from Arugam Bay will enter the park at 6.00 am, one of the best times of the day to spot animals. Explore the thick wilderness of the park for several hours in the morning. After another hour of entertaining safari game drive, stop for your lunch and enjoy the flavors of a traditional Sri Lankan meal under the shade of some giant trees or near the river. the national park that is situated approximately 35km south of Arugam Bay. 200 hectares of the area dedicated solely to bird watching especially during the months of May and June. You can enjoy splendid moments watching over 200 species of birds during your Kumana jeep safari tour. Some animals and bird varieties you can see in Kumana are Elephants, Leopards, Golden Jackal, Wild Boar, European Otter, Mugger Crocodile, turtles, pelicans, painted storks, Lesser Whistling Glossy Ibis, Purple Heron, Great Egret, Indian Pond Heron, Weathercock, Purple Swamp hen, Intermediate Egret, spoonbills, white ibis, herons, egrets and Duck Black-crowned Night Heron.
