2Cave of Diktaion Andron
Discover Diktaion Andron, the legendary Cave of Zeus, hidden above the village of Psychro on the Lasithi Plateau. According to ancient mythology, the goddess Rhea brought the newborn Zeus here to protect him from Cronus, making the cave one of Crete’s most important sacred and mythological sites. Visitors can descend into its impressive underground chambers, admire the stalactites, stalagmites and dramatic rock formations, and step into a world where history, nature and legend meet. Archaeological discoveries show that the cave was used for religious ceremonies for many centuries, while its mysterious atmosphere makes it an exciting experience for both adults and children.

3Windmills Of Lasithi Plateau
Then we head to Lassithi Plateau, which is situated 850 m. higher than the sea level. It is surrounded by the Dikti Mountains and 18 quaint villages, which still retain the atmosphere of another era. You can admire the remaining famous windmills and the Venetian ditches, the drainage system of the Plateau. Pass by old villages and the fertile valley of the Lasithi Plateau.
